{"id":2501,"date":"2020-05-27T19:08:06","date_gmt":"2020-05-27T19:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.internationalhrs.com\/?p=2501"},"modified":"2020-05-28T04:52:40","modified_gmt":"2020-05-28T04:52:40","slug":"ihrs-info-covid-approved-rules-for-opening-swiss-borders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.internationalhrs.com\/en\/ihrs-info-covid-approved-rules-for-opening-swiss-borders\/","title":{"rendered":"IHRS Info COVID; Approved rules for opening Swiss borders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.admin.ch\/gov\/en\/start\/documentation\/media-releases\/media-releases-federal-council.msg-id-79248.html\">May 27th the Swiss government<\/a> agreed about rules to ease entry restrictions into Switzerland. <\/strong> <strong>       <\/strong>                         <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rules starting June 8th for Business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Applications for residence (L, B) or cross-border commuter (G) permit from workers from EU\/EFTA member states will be normally processed again.   <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/meweb.admin.ch\/meldeverfahren\/?request_language=en\">Notifications<\/a> for short-term deployments with an employer in Switzerland and for cross-border services (Expatriation) for a maximum duration of 90 days per year will be normally processed again. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Applications to employ workers from third countries will also be processed again, <strong>if the company can prove an important need<\/strong>. Important business reasons should be sufficient but should be strongly outlined in the justification.  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important: The applications and notifications will be processed again. The possibility of border crossing is later, see underneath. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong> Rules starting June 8th for Family<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Family reunification will be possible again for all persons <strong>(all nationalities) <\/strong>with a permanent  residence permit C, a residence permit B, or a short stay permit L. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Border crossing: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening of the borders with Germany, Austria and France was confirmed to be on June 15th, see Newsletter from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalhrs.com\/ihrs-info-covid-opening-swiss-borders\/\">May 14th<\/a>. The opening date for the border with Italy is not confirmed yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The borders in the Schengen area should open latest on July 6th, this still has to be confirmed by the EU\/EFTA states. The goal is that the free movement agreement can be fully re-established then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SUMMARY: Permits and notifications will be normally processed again from June 8th.
